The "NSRF (ESPA) Executive Unit of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy, Environment Sector" Special Service was established in the Ministry of the Environment and Energy by par. 7b of article 18 of Law 4314/2014, as in force and under the Minister of the Environment and Energy. The structure, the responsibilities and the qualifications for its staffing are determined by the JMD 100008/SISS 936/28.09.2016 (O.G.G. 3296/Β΄/13.10.2016). It is a continuation of the Special Service for the Coordination of Environmental Actions (E.Y.S.PE.D.), which was established by Law 3614/2007 (O.G.G. 267/Α΄/3.12.2007) and in particular by articles 5, 10 , 12 and 18 thereof. Its structure and responsibilities were determined by the JMD 19883/2008 (O.G.G. 1957/Β΄/23.9.2008), as amended by the JMD 15078/2012 (O.G.G. 980/Β΄/29.3.2012)
